All removals are carried at the Owner’s (Customer’s) risk with no insurance. As defined by The Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017. This means that we (the carrier) will pay no compensation if the goods are lost or damaged unless we (the carrier) intentionally loses or damages them.
Items carried by U-Pak Removals Ltd. are protected by Carrier's Liability Insurance pursuant to the carriage of The Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 which covers your goods up to the value of $2000 per item in the event of fire, collision or overturning of the vehicle only. There is an excess of $500 payable by you in the event of any claims.
We strongly recommend to all customers that you arrange adequate insurance cover for private and commercial items and goods. Contact your Home and Contents insurance provider to discuss Transit Cover for the duration of the move.
While every care is taken when transporting private items and goods, accidents can and may happen.
Please ensure your Wise Move estimate is as accurate as possible to help us prepare for your move, quote accurately and avoid additional costs.
Please note all jobs are quoted with a maximum load time of 2 hours and unload time of two hours. Should we exceed this time due to access difficulties or other reason beyond our control we reserve the right to charge $100 (including GST) per 30 minutes this is exceeded by.
Requests for packaging or installation need to be arranged prior. Assembling, disassembling or removing items physically attached to the home is not included in the Wise Move quote.
