Bike was delivered with broken clutch lever. After asking for notice of delivery, was given none and told they had arrive. Offered to pay to fix it, but then ignored the txt, with cost. I thought they could have offered to at least deliver it home, minimum! You don’t offer to pay for something if you hadn’t broken it. Won’t be using them again.
Response from Transit Moves
First things first.
Your bike was completely out in the open not secure what so ever at collection point with keys taped to the handle bars.
It was collected from a rural area about 8 ks out of Blenhiem.
Any body could have had a go at it.
It was pushed into a trailer, no need to disengage clutch as it was already in neutral so no detection of a broken clutch lever.
It never touched, bumped or lent on anything at all, completely free standing.
It was picked up and delivered in less than 12 hours including the cook straight ferry crossing.
It was you who noticed the broken clutch lever.
Yes I offered to pay for it knowing the cost would be $15-$30 as it’s just cast muck metal and they break often, you agreed to this and we both agreed it’s about a 15 minute job to change.
Me offering to pay is not an admission of breaking it.
My txt to you clearly states for you to pick up from terminal as you originally agreed but also state delivery wherever meaning you chose, you cannot change a txt after they are sent.
You say I ignored a txt with cost, I have never received a txt from you after you collected the bike from me at the terminal, take a screenshot and attach here.
You give a 2 for punctuality, professionalism and communication, why, they were all 3 much more than good, than acceptable.
Bike was damaged, I accepted responsibility for this to save any back and forth between you and seller.
