Our experienced movers are known for their strong work ethic and have earned a reputation as some of New Zealand’s most reliable moving companies.
Our movers go the extra mile to deliver the care and attention you expect from an experienced moving company. Whether you need packing materials or practical help preparing for moving day, our teams work to make your move go as smoothly as possible.
Whether you need a single item shifted across New Plymouth or a home moved across the country, we can help. Our experienced and skilled moving teams handle relocations of all sizes promptly and efficiently.
Our movers take care of the heavy lifting and loading, carefully protecting your possessions throughout the move. As expert removalists, they plan how to stack your boxes and furniture to protect both the contents and their packaging. The trucks and vans used for your move are loaded to maximise space and keep your belongings secure.
To help the moving company handle your belongings safely, avoid overfilling your boxes and aim to keep each one below 20 kg. Use smaller boxes for dense items such as books or tools, and clearly label heavier boxes HEAVY. Our movers position sturdy, well-packed boxes beneath lighter items to help protect delicate belongings. Boxes containing plates, glasses and other fragile items should have FRAGILE clearly displayed on the top and sides.
While there are many items we can move, some items cannot be included in standard moving loads. These include hazardous materials, explosives, firearms, illegal substances, expensive jewellery, cash, and perishable or frozen goods. For everyone’s safety, keep these items out of your packed boxes and discuss anything requiring special handling or separate transport with the moving team before collection.
Our moving teams in New Plymouth treat every home like a tight-access project. Before lift-off, access is checked, stairs and door widths are measured, local parking or loading zones in New Plymouth are confirmed, and a simple load sequence is mapped so move day feels calm and organised.
Protection comes first. Floor runners from the door to the truck, corner and banister guards on tight turns, and full pad-wrap or shrink-wrap before any item leaves the room.
Lifts and stairs are handled with control, not muscle. Powered stair climbers take the strain on heavy pieces, four-wheel dollies keep loads stable over distance, sliders help on narrow turns, and strap systems enable precise team carries.
Inside the truck, nothing drifts. Items are loaded by weight and room order, then secured to E-track/tie-rails with load-rated ratchet straps and soft ties. Load bars create tiers, isolate fragile pieces, and keep the centre of mass low for a smoother ride across New Plymouth streets and nearby roads.
Disassembly stays tidy and reversible. Beds, tables and modular sofas are taken down with the correct tools; hardware is bagged and labelled per room; detached legs, shelves and glass are wrapped and bundled for quick, exact setup at destination.
Weather and buildings are planned for. Sealed truck bodies and rain covers keep items dry; ramps and floors are dried between trips; lifts are protected and pre-booked where needed, or the move is staged with stair climbers if lifts aren’t available.
Fleet matched to the address and volume: compact city vans (8–12 m³) for tighter New Plymouth streets and underground parking; furniture trucks up to 30 m³ for larger homes. All vehicles are fitted with tail-lifts or ramps and proper tie-downs.
From first pad to final placement, the sequence stays consistent: protect the property, wrap and prepare each item, load by plan, secure for transit, then place and reassemble by room—careful, methodical, on schedule across New Plymouth and surrounding suburbs.
Every move in New Plymouth is different, and timing matters. That’s why our moving teams stay flexible, so your move happens exactly when it suits you.

We know what matters when booking a moving company: careful handling, secure packing and belongings that arrive safely. Our experienced packers in New Plymouth handle everything from delicate ornaments to bulky furniture, preparing each item with care and attention to detail.
Experienced moving companies know that good packing saves space and helps the move run smoothly. We pack everyday belongings efficiently, making good use of box space and keeping everything secure. Larger, valuable or delicate items receive protection suited to their size, material and condition.
Fragile packing – Antiques, valuables and delicate keepsakes receive extra protection with bubble wrap before being carefully placed and secured in suitable boxes. Our packing teams take particular care with fragile edges, surfaces and individual components.
Blanket wrapping – Large or bulky items are wrapped in thick protective blankets to help prevent scuffs and scratches during transport. This is especially useful for furniture that cannot be dismantled or safely packed into boxes.
The care you expect from a moving company extends to your home. Our New Plymouth moving teams use floor coverings to help prevent scuffs during the move. Where access is tight, our movers can assess whether doors or windows can be safely removed and refitted to allow larger items through.
Choosing the correct furniture truck is an important part of planning a safe and efficient move. A vehicle that is too small can result in unnecessary return trips, while an oversized truck may be unsuitable for narrow streets, steep driveways, underground parking, or properties with restricted access. Before moving day, our New Plymouth movers review the volume of your belongings and access at both addresses so the most suitable truck or van can be allocated.
Our New Plymouth moving fleet includes compact vans, high-roof cargo vans, enclosed box trucks, tail-lift furniture trucks, and larger removal trucks. Vehicle capacities vary between teams, but the following guide shows the types of moving vehicles commonly available:
These capacities are a general guide. The amount that fits inside a moving truck depends on the size, shape, and quantity of your belongings. Bulky sofas, assembled wardrobes, large appliances, outdoor furniture, fragile items, and unusually shaped pieces may require more space than standard moving boxes. Our teams take these details into account when selecting your vehicle.
Our New Plymouth moving trucks are prepared for professional furniture removals. Depending on the vehicle and requirements of the move, they are equipped with loading ramps or hydraulic tail lifts, internal tie rails, load bars, ratchet straps, protective moving blankets, furniture dollies, trolleys, sliders, and specialist lifting equipment.
Enclosed cargo areas help protect furniture from rain, wind, road debris, and changing weather conditions. Inside the truck, furniture is wrapped and padded before being positioned according to weight, shape, and unloading order. Heavy and stable items form the base of the load, while fragile pieces are separated, cushioned, and secured to prevent movement on New Plymouth streets and surrounding roads.
Tail-lift furniture trucks are particularly useful for heavy appliances, commercial equipment, pianos, safes, oversized furniture, and items that cannot be safely carried up a conventional loading ramp. For New Plymouth properties with restricted access, a smaller moving van may transfer belongings between the address and a larger truck positioned nearby.
To determine the correct truck size for your New Plymouth move, our teams consider the number of rooms, estimated furniture volume, quantity of moving boxes, oversized or specialist items, stairs, lifts, driveway conditions, parking restrictions, loading-zone access, building height limits, and the distance between pickup and delivery.
Providing an accurate inventory, photographs, and details about both properties helps the team prepare the best vehicle and equipment. When access is difficult, the move can be planned around a compact van, a smaller furniture truck, staged loading, or additional vehicles. For larger moves, the team can arrange a high-capacity truck or coordinated multi-truck service.
Every move is different, which is why we do not rely on one standard vehicle. Our New Plymouth moving teams are prepared with a complete range of moving vans and furniture trucks for single-item deliveries, apartment moves, house removals, office relocations, and long-distance moving.
From the smallest collection within New Plymouth to a complete home relocation across New Zealand, the goal is always the same: arrive with the right-sized moving truck, load every item securely, use the available space efficiently, and complete your move safely with as few trips as possible.
