Very poor communication. Said delivery Thursday so travelled back from holiday to meet them. Which was all and fine. They then mucked around that afternoon with very poor communication. Blaming weather as the reason they couldn’t deliver and it being “late in the day” though the job was posted for pickup at 4pm so they were well aware of timing and weather had not been that bad. I accept weather may make it difficult for your job but I don’t feel as though it should be the reason you can’t do my job on a perfectly fine afternoon.
I posted the job online for a job on the 7th and pickup 4pm - they send a quote and I accepted on the 2nd. They then had 5days to reply and get in touch, though I didn’t hear anything until I made contact on the 5th. Your reply then was you couldn’t do the job on the 7th (date job was listed for 7th) they could only do it on the Thursday or Friday so I therefore REorganised pickup with the trade me seller. Due to late reply from your side and no ability to pickup on the organised job date. Also contacting me AND seller on the day asking if pickup could be done earlier. Seller “Sue” told them no 4pm is the earliest. They then contact me with the same question. My answer was - no it couldn’t. 4pm was in the job description. If you aren’t happy to do this, do not send a quote.
Yes, I was flexible with dates, though once I was told a date - I believe they should be able to stick to their word.

Communication was maintained at every step. When the quote was provided, it was mentioned that we would be available to do the pickup on Thursday. If that worked for you, you could go ahead and accept the job, which you did in the end. If you read the job description, the 4 pm time condition was only applicable if the pickup was to be done on April 7. However, we had already communicated to you that we would be picking it up on April 9. Still, our driver waited for a couple of hours and did the pickup after 4 pm, keeping you and Sue informed about our driver's arrival time at the pickup location.
The weather was bad and not ideal for the trucks, so we asked if we could do the delivery on Friday, which was clearly stated in the job description as well, that the preferred days for the delivery are Thursday and Friday. We arranged for our driver to stay overnight in Palmerston North, covering his motel and extra hours just to complete your job.
If the bad weather didn't seem that severe to you, I still cannot put my team in danger for the delivery.
From reaching the pickup point, the item being picked up, arriving at the delivery point, and the item being delivered, everything was communicated in advance. I have the screenshots with me, if needed.
