We booked a 4+ bedroom house move. When the team arrived they told us we had a lot more furniture / boxes than anticipated and they couldn't do the job for the quoted price, and changed to an hourly price instead ($180/hr + GST for 2 men plus van, total price at end of day worked out 2.5x original quote). We had posted several photos of the house and contents, which was consistent with a 4 bedroom house move. They also said they had to charge more for the internal stairs in our house. I had posted photos of external stairs and checked they would be OK with stairs but was told that internal stairs required the price to be increased. We had little choice than to accept the new price as we had to move that day.
The 2 guys helping us move were great, worked really hard on a hot day. They carried a lot of stuff down stairs, down our driveway, up the stairs to the new house etc, I can't fault them at all.
But I suspect it's very common on this platform for companies to win jobs by underpricing their quotes and then increase the price on the day. In future I wouldn't accept a quote for a full house move without someone coming to assess the property and contents in person, and then guaranteeing the price.

We moved a 1 bedroom apartment to storage in Auckland, and then a 2nd relocation a few days later.
Everything turned up perfectly fine and they also placed everything exactly where we asked.

Fast to give a quote, no hassles and easy to communicate with.
Friendly and easy to build rapport with and we will definitely recommend them to others while also keeping them in mind for any future relocation.

Honestly the best and friendliest service! Even though I forgot to inform them of stairs at the new property or that the truck didn't fit down our driveway, they still made sure all the furniture was safely delivered where we needed it. Highly recommend them.

When organising a house shift from a small town to another small town, both off the main trunk and from the North Island to the South Island can be challenging. Especially when organising the details remotely via email/text without eyeballing. But it worked seamlessly. Arrived on time for loading and also on time for offloading 2 days later. We had issues with access to the new house, but they were understanding and accommodated these issues to make it work. A very satisfied customer. Thankyou.

As I was in a different city than my furniture it was very hard to remember exactly what I had to be picked up....there was more than I thought, but it most certainly didn't amount to the extra $800 they charged me. But what could I do when they had already loaded it and I was in a different city. There no was care given to my furniture ...none of it was protected by blankets. They dropped several items at the storage unit when unloading....they loaded the trolley too high and it all fell off. I'm yet to see what has been damaged as it's now packed into a storage unit and hard to get to everything to see.
