Stated I had heavy things to move. Supplied measurements of large shelving units. Assumed incorrectly they'd use one of their 3 trucks with a hoist lift and got sent one without, so spent most of allocated time struggling to lift and load everything a meter up onto the truck deck. Their two staff couldn't lift a lot of the furniture on their own so I had to pay a worker to help (adding another $160 to the job cost for me) and even with 4 of us trying, we still couldn't lift every item. Their trolley broke after moving 2 items. They tried to push items along the deck and into the truck causing a large meter plus deep scratch in one of the black oak shelf units so had to ask them not to scrape my stuff along the truck floor. They dropped a solid wood set of drawers off the trolley, which broke a drawer and is now unusable. I had to pick up all the items out of the garden. the two workers were doing their best with the limited tools they had but wasted a lot of time trying to lift everything as had no hoist. It was all quite rediculous. Therefore, the move was not completed. I tried to arrange with the owner, Yukov, to come back and collect the rest of the items. I suggested a friday at 1pm but he couldnt come then so w mde a time of the following Monday at 3pm (as I didn't finish work until 2.30). He turned up Monday at 1pm and left as I wasn't there. I called him when I'd finished work and saw his message he ad been there at 1, only to be yelled at and verbally abused and told he'd lost money now on the job and to find someone else. I had to hang up. Another curveball was when I asked about the damaged furniture, he said that was on me and to read the small print of the contract which he said says they are not liable for any damage they cause. I was never provided with a contract or a link to one. I still do not have access to this contract should it even exist. I've tried communicating with Wise Move but they do not "do phone conversations" so am facing the long tedious task of back and forwarding with emails.....and getting nowhere thus far. I would not recommend using this freight company. The customer is the least of their priorities.
