I have used Load Carrier in the past with no issues. I don't like leaving negative feedback (and am not a high maintenance as a customer). It is unfortunately necessary on this occasion so that others are fairly warned about the extremely inadequate and unprofessional service provided by Load Carrier. They did not collect the item in a timely manner - and when they finally did, the collection point informed me that the drivers were substandard (lack of care with the item - they had to be asked by her to wrap it in a blanket) and could not be communicated with given a complete lack of English. The item then took weeks to be delivered to me with the carrier reporting - not proactively but only when I politely follows up - that they had called and tried to deliver twice to no avail (that was the same story given at the collection point by the way). I have always been contactable over SMS and email and do not know why I wasn't contacted via those methods if I wasn't able to answer a random unknown number. I had to continue to chase the carrier for delivery and was given two dates where they simply failed to turn up. When they finally did turn up with me doing all the follow up to make it happen, I very clearly requested in writing to be contacted 30 to 45 minutes in advance. That was acknowledged and agreed to.
I literally waited all day at home and heard nothing. I then had to go out for an hour at 6pm and suddenly received a flurry of messages from Load Carrier saying they couldn't find the building. Then they said they couldn't deliver upstairs as they had insufficient manpower. I explained I could help carry but absolutely I couldn't do it alone and could they please wait 40 minutes for me to get home. They informed me it would be too heavy for me then ignored my messages and left the item carelessly at the bottom of the stairs at the street side and me completely stuck. When I finally just about broke my back moving the item upstairs alone, I examined it only to find it all rusted on the bottom - clearly having been exposed to the elements by Load Carrier in the weeks it took them to deliver to me. Absolutely appalling from start to finish. Proceed with extreme caution - or use any other carrier you can.

These guys are great, they accommodated me through all the changes getting my daughters shipment from Queentown to Northland. They took care of our things and really are friendly. I would highly recommend them from a very satisfied customer. Great rates too

Communication was poor. I had to call to get an approximate pick up time as I was only given the day. When no one showed I had to call to follow up. Apparently they had tried to call but no missed calls were shown on my phone. I had to message to ask the approximated delivery date as I was not informed, when the day passed and I had heard nothing, I reached again to them be informed there had been a delay that I had not been notified of. I had no problem with the delay as these things happen over the holiday season but it would have been nice to know.

When delivery did come, my clothing rack was not delivered. The driver said it had been left on the trailer and they would call regarding that but I have heard nothing in over a week and will once again have to follow up myself.

Overall the service was fine and my fragile goods were delivered in good condition but I would hope communication would be improved.

I received no communication from Load Carrier prior to the day of the move to confirm the date and time they would arrive. After trying to call three times, my call was finally returned and I was advised the movers would be there within an hour. Once they arrived everything went very smoothly, and I cannot fault the guys. They were efficient and friendly. If the communication had been better this would have been a great service, however the lack of confirmation caused a bit of stress which could have been avoided. After reading other reviews, it seems other customers have also had this issue. Overall, happy with the service and would use Load Carrier again.

Unfortunately the pick up was a day late with no contact to let me know.
When they arrived they were really good. Only took 2 days to deliver it down to the South Island.
It arrived in excellent condition.
I would definitely use them again.

Very impressed and delighted with their hassle-free service with quick pick up at the port. We received delivery on the next day (during Christmas Eve too!), will definitely use them again, highly recommend.

The stuff arrived and in one piece which was good,
communication was lacking as had to keep texting as calls were not answered.
Stuff was picked up on the right day but, then not delivered on day confirmed as didn't have ferry organised so several days later it all arrived.
So happy we got it but just need to get better at the organizational and communication side of things

Good service provided and timely delivery. Only minor comment is that I had to send a couple of messages to arrange for pickup, other than that excellent service.

Very poor communication. Delay in pick up without letting anyone (seller or us) know. Two weeks late in delivery. Damage to vehicle and no reply to messages about this damage. Very unhappy with unreliable service.

Car transport was so quick. Great communication from the driver (after initial poor coms about a delay). Thank you
