Was a bit disappointed with the communication/punctuation. Although initially selecting drop off to be within the window 13-16th February the carrier confirmed early on delivery for the 13th and again confirmed this once car was collected. However my car was not delivered that date and I had no communication from the load carrier that they didn’t deliver it, hence I was worried when I could not get in contact with the driver and my car hadn’t arrived. The car did get picked up and dropped off with no damage but I never got any reason why my car didn’t turn up on agreed date.

Reasonable pricing for moving my car and items, and there were no extra charges when I changed the list of items (I sold my chair and table, but ended up with more boxes after organising my things). However, there was no transparency or clear communication throughout the whole process.
Firstly, they were never on time. They were 1.5 hours late picking up my items, and then 10 hours late picking up my car. They picked it up by driving my car instead of putting it on the truck, which is what they were supposed to do, and none of this was communicated to me. Again, they were 1.5 hours late when dropping off my car and items in Queenstown.
My items were rearranged into a smaller van when they arrived, which was acceptable, and all the boxes arrived safely with no damage. However, I received my car not on a truck but driven directly to my house. The driver claimed he only drove it from Cromwell, but the condition of my car clearly showed it had been driven much further. Luckily, I took a photo of the mileage before leaving Nelson, and I realised they had driven my car from Christchurch to Queenstown, using 530 km on my car without my consent or permission!
Even though they refuelled the car, it was dirty and muddy. The driver who used my car moved my sunglasses, ate my gum, and left rubbish inside. This is completely unacceptable and put me at significant risk because the driver was not insured on my car. The fact that he drove it from Christchurch without my permission is utterly shocking, and if an accident had happened, I wouldn’t have been able to claim my insurance.
I called Paul for compensation. He apologised and offered a $50 refund for car washing, but I insisted on $500 due to the risk he caused. In the end, we agreed on $300 compensation for the inconvenience.
Just for future reference, please make sure you communicate clearly about your expectations with them. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them, as this entire process caused me a lot of stress even though everything had arrived safely.

To be clear my review is for Load Carrier, the company who moved my things NOT Wise Move. they were very helpful in finding me moving options and ultimately giving me advice when it all fell apart

Where do I start

Absolutely zero communication, was waiting for them to contact me in the weeks leading up to my move to make sure they had everything they needed from me. This did not happen.
Missed MULTIPLE pickups, would simply no-show then explain after the fact they were having issues. Ended up leaving for the South Island before they picked up our stuff.
Sent a driver who had been forwarded zero of the information I gave them, didn't know where he was going or what he was picking up, as well as not speaking a word of English and needing to hand his phone to the neighbour to try and communicate with me.
The main reason I picked this moving company was because they offered me a competitive rate on moving my motorcycle, however they ran out of space and bike is still in Tauranga to this day.
The truck then arrived multiple days early, with less than two hours notice while I was working out of town. I dropped everything to meet him at the time he gave me only for him to then be two hours late
Multiple boxes damaged and/or crushed, and a box with approximately $5,000 worth of motorcycle and computer equipment was missing.
They denied any responsibility, said he would check with his drivers and other clients to see if it was on a truck or incorrectly delivered but this didn't go anywhere. Tried telling me I must not have shipped it even tho I had photos of all boxes, followed by a photo of the room they were in being empty.
WEEKS of having to ask for updates (never once received one unprompted) I conceded legal action was my only choice. I asked load carrier for some confirmation on their legal business name and within 5 minutes I had multiple texts and calls telling me not to worry my box had all of a sudden been found...

This experience was so bad I never want to move again, and my only biggest regret is paying up front

Got here in the end but not recommended...arrived a few days late poor communication throughout...woke up in the morning to find the car sitting in my driveway with no notification it had been dropped off

Wouldnt use this service again...no care of goods what so ever.

This is a literal scam. They have multiple business operating under different names all using the same phone number and a range of fake names. It took two months for my things to arrive as they had delivered them to other clients, and every single box/bag had some kind of damage, some ripped open entirely (and missing items), others with major gashes and rips. I had one piece of furniture, a small side table and somehow they managed to completely snap the top off and bend the entire frame, on delivery they wouldn't let me unload it myself and decided to simply bend the legs to 'fix' it while sneakily holding the top on by hand so that I wouldn't notice until they were gone. Multiple times they tried to give me other peoples boxes. They gave me 10+ different dates that they were going to deliver and would not tell me until late in the day if at all that they weren't coming, pressuring them for a response made almost no difference. They would lie constantly saying they had retrieved my items and then the next day say that they were on their way to pick them up. They refunded me a measly $50 for the table, but refused to compensate me at all for being 2 months late and all other damage. I will be reporting them to the authorities as this is not the behavior of a legitimate company.

Main comms with the booking carrier were great but the actual driver did not text to tell us the pick up date/time which we had requested him to do, so we missed the first opportunity and had to wait nearly a week for the next pick up. Goods were handled professionally and arrived safely.

They went over the crown range for some reason then crashed the truck going down the tight hairpins (no surprise in a truck that size) this delayed delivery by over a week, delivery date changed several times & we ended up waking the neighbours at 1030pm to midnight unloading, only one mover turned up to unload, multiple items damaged. Poor communication and resolution to the accident, no support for damaged items or delays.

We moved from Auckland to Christchurch with Load Carrier. Overall the service and experience was good. We did have to follow up a few times to confirm collection but they arrived on time and were helpful. The truck took 4 days from collection to delivery - this was not an issue for us as we had requested a specific date of delivery. We did have a small delay with delivery - the truck broke down after coming off the ferry and we were told delivery would be at 10pm, rather than 3pm - which was too late however, they did arrange to deliver early the next morning at a time we had requested. Our items arrived in good condition. Overall, we would recommend.

Was not happy that carrier decided to put the price up after quote and loading started as they were well aware that it was a 3 bed house moving to a 2 bed house ,2 of the rooms were already empty as someone had already moved taking their furniture with them so there was even a full house load
However that being said it was delivered on time at the right place undamaged

This process was nice a nice one for us. I had expressed we needed 2 people to lift this on collection when we booked this, 1 driver turned up and expected me and our children to help him. I was silly and agreed to help him cause i felt sorry for him with the pressure he was explaining to me. It was 8pm on a Saturday night when he turned up. The effort it took to load this weight into the high back of the truck with out mechanical aid was not an easy task. The driver was hard to understand, and i wasnt really happy about how it was packed into the truck due to thinking the glass might smash on the way. I had a container of bolts that was to be transported with the canopy which i was hoping would be packed up with it once we got it into the truck but it seems it didn't. As the canopy arrived at the destination but not the bolts. I had to follow this up for weeks on end, I finally got an answer that the bolts had been delivered to someone else in error and we were waiting on them to return them. I was being question by the recipient of the canopy who had paid straight away for his item and now couldn't use it for this delay. I finally got a package couriered to my house which was the bolts, so I had to pay for them to be couriered down to them. Not really a great experience for us or the person who brought it off us.

The driver was nice but arrived on his own in the evening to deliver a 2 meter long solid oak sideboard on a steep street. Impossible to say the least. Poor guy was running 5 hrs late by the time he left my place.
