TERMS AND CONDTIONS WHEN BOOKING VIA Wise Move , PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING - Updated June Twenty Twenty One
1. All Deposits are "non Refundable", unless cancelled by us. This is for the time and dates we block , and don't take any other bookings after a date is locked in. IF NZ HOME MOVERS (JTL) cancels the job due to unforeseen circumstances, your deposits will be fully refunded.
2. Please ensure your Wise Move inventory is as accurate as possible. We allocate trucks based on this estimate. Failure to list all goods may result in additional charges or items being left behind.. Last minute capacity is often sold at a premium.
3. ALL GOODS ARE CARRIED AT OWNERS RISK - NO CLAIMS ACCEPTED
4. Goods carried into the property are taken at owners risk, and NO CLAIMS or LIABILITY ACCEPTED; if we cause any damage to the property at either end.
Personal effects, electronics and household goods are deemed to be carted at OWNERS RISK and NO claims pursuant to the Carriage of goods Act 2015 shall be accepted.
Should we have been deemed to have intentionally damaged or lost items, our maximum liability will be your $200 HOME AND CONTENTS INSURANCE EXCESS - MAX, which you will be asked to claim on.
We can also arrange Carriers Liability Insurance. * Needs to be pre arranged with us before and will be extras. This is arranged via a 3rd party. * Maximum Claim for Carriers Liability : $300 per item ( beyond repair)( If insurance added)
Moving Day * All Removals are to be packed and ready to go. *We don't assemble or disassemble. Nor take whiteware off the cabinets or whatso ever. Our staff are happy to assist putting furniture in rooms where needed but all done at owners risk. No liability taken .No assembly or dis assembly.
Television Sets Please note: TVs which are not in a box, don't qualify for Goods in Transit insurance if damaged. Customers responsibility to box ( ALL CARE TAKEN BUT)
MIRRORS ALL MIRRORS ARE TO BE PROFESSIONALLY PACKED. WE DONT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF BROKEN / CRACKED. FOR MIRRORS AS THEY ARE VERY FRAGILE.WE WILL TRY OUR BEST THOUGH.NO CLAIMS CONSIDERED.
Packed BOXES - Please note the maximum allowance for carrying an item is 20kg as per OHS regulations. Clients tend to pack boxes to 40 or 50kgs per box which is not acceptable. In this case, if such, no claims processed for damages. Customer responsibility to pack to max 20kg per box max size 50cmx50cm.
Car / Bike / Motor Bike Parts - Second hand parts and fittings - no claims accepted.
Chest of Drawers - all chest / drawers to be empty and not full of clothes or belongings. Makes it harder to lift, and most importantly tends to break when traveling on long trips. No claims accepted if such.
Terms and Conditions for Cancellations
Cancellations In the event of Cancellations or change of mind the following applies:
Pickup Cancellations 96 hours or earlier : 40% of full booking costs
Pickup cancellations 24 to 96 hours prior to pick up or : 50 % charge of total costs
Pickup cancellations 24 hrs or less: 100% liability of full costs
This will be billed to customer and to be paid in 2 days. Failure to do so will be REFERED to Debt collection agency. We use Baycorp.
We will also bill the Wise Move commission they charge us Carriers (15%of booking costs), along with the cancellation costs.
SOUTH ISLAND BOOKINGS If a ferry has been booked, and customer cancels , then the customer is liable for full ferry costs, plus any cancellations as above will apply too.
When booking : Please note quotes are for inventory list mentioned on Wise Move platform. We don't charge by the hour but according to inventory list provided by you. Anything extra will be extra charge, or left behind
PAYMENTS - ON OR BEFORE DELIVERY DAY - NO Terms allowed
Unpaid Bills UNPAID BILLS WILL BE REFERED TO COLLECTION AGENCIES FOR COLLECTION ( ALL COSTS TO BE BOURNE BY CUSTOMER)
