- Communication was good until they arrived at my place to pick up the things. The person in charge started treating me badly, even though everything was clearly specified when asking for the service, especially that I am pregnant and I couldn't do much for help.
- Poor professionalism as they left the stuff at my new place so badly distributed in one of the rooms that it was difficult to get into it.
- I was sick (very dizzy and couldn't stand for long), so I needed to trust in their "professionalism" as I stayed on the first floor.
- They took so long trying to move my bed that, after finding part of the bed half way, they had no idea how to deal with it. I lied to have them out saying that someone will come to help. I was so sick and stressed that I couldn't handle a minute more of their mess.
- At the end I hired someone to finish the bed and to help me to sort things out that same day, as I needed to rest due to my condition.
- I let their administration know that very same day. They answered one day after, offering to come to finish their job, which, obviously, was already too late, as I needed to have my place ready to rest due to my pregnancy.
- They also broke one of my appliances, denying it. They were checking every single detail when loading in the truck and they sure would have noticed if it was previously broken.
- One of their employees started texting me without my consent to try to have a personal conversation, which I informed to the administrator and nothing has been done as I am still receiving messages from that person, even though I have asked to stop.
- Lastly, and to complete a very terrible experience, they were using my personal situation, as I am currently alone in this country, to blaming ME for not having someone to help me, and quote the administration answer:
"I think you are just upset with your situations and definitely you needed help from your family on the moving day".
What does this suppose to mean? Does their service depend on the person's situation? do they do a better job if someone is checking on them all the time?
PD: I have all the chat screenshots and pictures of everything described here. So far I haven't received any answer regarding the damaged appliance.
Response from Right Choice Movers
Hi Dayana,
I would also like to explain our side of the situation.
During the move, there were no issues between you and our movers. Our team placed all your furniture exactly where you instructed, while you were directing them from the chair/bench. The movers completed the job, left your property politely, and at that time you seemed happy with the service. You also mentioned that your friends or family would be coming soon to help with the remaining setup.
After the move, you messaged me saying that you were happy with the movers’ work and only needed a little more furniture shifting. I replied the same day and offered to send the movers back immediately to help place the furniture as needed. However, I did not receive a reply from you. The next day, I followed up again and offered to send the movers, but you then advised that you no longer wanted them to return.
Also, regarding the text messages, the delivery address provided to our movers was incorrect. When our team arrived at the delivery location, they were informed that all the furniture actually needed to be delivered to another address, which was around 30 minutes away.
It is part of our movers’ job to contact customers by text or phone during the move if there are any issues or clarifications needed. The messages sent were only related to confirming the correct delivery address and were purely work-related. There were no personal messages involved.
It is very disappointing that serious assumptions were made about someone’s character when our team was only trying to complete the job correctly and professionally.
We understand that pregnancy can be a stressful and difficult time, and during the move we genuinely believed you may have needed extra support from your family . However, it feels unfair that after the move all of the frustration and stress was directed toward our movers, despite them trying their best to help throughout the process.
We always try our best to help our customers and resolve any concerns fairly.
