Hi Ecoshifter, thanks for your messages and sorry for the delay, great to know you are in Kapiti. I am just trying to work out if 3 hours is enough time from Otaki to Strathmore, which is 83kms, so taking into account loading, driving and uploading, maybe 3 hours is not enough, but i know you folks are the experts. If you think it is a bit short in terms of timing would be good to know. There could be more items than i have put in the description, but i guess it just what can be fitted in the truck. With the amount of stuff that i do have, would your main truck be able to handle it? Would you know the length and width of your main truck? I haven't done a move like this before, so any guidance in terms of timing, would be appreciated. In terms of timing, is it better for you during the week or weekends? Sorry for all the questions!

Evening Chris and questions are great :)
So 3 hours is prob a little light BUT if all your gear and furnishings are ready to go its do able.
So our quote included 2 staff and the enclosed 20m3 truck. That will def fit the list supplied but if small extras appear there is a bit of spare space so should be fine.
Any larger items like tables, chairs and pot plants or sports equipment that cannot pack and travel so nice may mean we need to look at another trip or a extra vehicle. But again we can deal with this if needed.
Generally loading takes a little longer than unloading so they balance each other out plus travel.
Its all around access to the sites and how far we have to travel carrying things. How close we can get the truck. We fig the Otaki site is straight forward and easy. But the Strathmore ?? So info here will help. If we do go over the 3 hours we charge $80-90 for 30 mins. But due to the drive time on this job we will do at $75. Maybe and extra hour max so that is $800 all up? We will aim for the 3.... 3.5 and will ensure we have time at the other end if needed.
We do work weekends but a lot of the Sat mornings go fast. And we try and keep Sundays to our family and friends . Generally its quicker on the roads during the days and weekdays at that. But when you have dates let us know and we can make it work.
AM slot is from 8 - 9 start depending on traffic in areas we sometimes wait till after school, tenants to go to work or roads to have space. The PM starts 1pm. Our pref would be an AM on your job as direction and flow would mean finishing around lunch time and missing end of day/3pm traffic. But if afternoon is easier we can still do this. Happy to adjust where needed.

Pictures are attached on our profile of truck we are using so have a look. Inside the cab of the truck we can take over 4.5m in length. And I can stand up inside .... Mike cannot so its just under 2m

Thank you so much for the comprehensive response to the questions and good to know in terms of timing and travel time. I think it would be good to do a morning move and to get ahead of the traffic which can get nasty during the weekends, so even during the week would suit me.
I am just waiting on a house inspection report to determine the time when i have to move and then i will make contact to see what dates next month would suit your company. In terms of the end location at Strathmore, there is a elevated driveway which will make getting the truck up a bit difficult, but it's not a far walk to the house and some of the items would be up the 1 flight of stairs but mainly most of it would be going in the garage, so all good.

Hi Hayley, sorry for the delay. I have uploaded some photos to give you an idea of what i am thinking of taking. So there are quite a few boxes and i would think it would be another 10 boxes on top of what is in the photos, but you get an idea with the bed, office desk, lounge desk, ottoman, couches and boxes in the garage etc. Hopefully this would be all in one load, which i guess comes down to packing, but let me know what you think, if it ends up being two trips, it might not work, just in terms of cost etc or perhaps getting a bigger provider etc. See what you think. I am flexible with timing and would be happy with either during the week or weekend. Perhaps you could let me know when you are free during the first 2 weeks of July perhaps when you have availability perhaps as a starting point? Thank you, Chris

So it all should fit based on the info so the quote stays the same :)
If we were to need a bit of extra help the 8-10m3 van we have could come up at $150 and do a trip first but we think the the std truck and 2 staff etc will be spot on. The team know how to pack the truck well and make the most of the space.
Date options :
4th or 5th July
8th July (being the start of school holidays this needs to be AM please)
Or do you want to head into the week following?
13th, 14th are clear
When quote is accepted we will have email details and comms to sort all the details out.

Thanks very much for getting back to me. If i can confirm tomorrow with you on the dates, that would be appreciated. I am thinking the Friday 8th July in the morning as you say. I just need to check with the rubbish skip company tomorrow morning and then will accept the quote once i have confirmation of the rubbish skip.
