My truck takes about a container load.
Just checking how much is in yours? Is it very full, from international and wrapped/boxed?
I can do pick up afternoon of the 4th, deliver 5th a.m.

Thanks for your message, Roger. The container is still at CHCH Customs and waiting for inspection. As per sea freight agency, it’s a bit full and should be wrapped by pallet. The agency said that the container should be released by Customs by the end of this week. Thanks

I can pick up your goods on the Monday, but wouldn't be able to deliver until Tuesday.
Would that still work for you?
Also, I take it you don't mean the container itself is for delivery, just the contents?
If it is the whole container I can still probably arrange.

Thanks for your quick reply, Roger. Yes, picking up on Mon and then delivering to QTN on Tue is fine. The container belongs to Maersk. We just need the contents in the container to be delivered to our home.
But again, we are still unsure that the container will definitely be released by NZ Customs tomorrow or on Fri.
Do you mind if you could provide me with your ph# so that I can contact you straightway once I have got an update from the Customs tomorrow?

Unfortunately the wisemove terms are that we only exchange details on acceptance of quote...
Ive had my hand smacked for this recently.

Hello Roger, the Customs Clearance agent advised me that our container has finally been released by NZ Customs! The container is now in the sea freight company’s warehouse in Wigram. I’m just wondering if you could help us to collect all goods in the container on Wed 13th Apr? I remember that you said the delivery to Queenstown is for overnight, not for the same day. So if you can pick up goods on Wed 13th Apr, then my husband will take annual leave on the next day Thurs 14th Apr and stay at home to help with unloading the goods from your truck.
I look forward to your confirmation.

Sorry but I'm flat out in Christchurch Thursday.
I can pick up Monday afternoon 11th, deliver Tuesday morning, or pick up Tuesday, deliver either late Tuesday or first thing Wednesday.
Would either suit?

Thanks, Roger. We’ll make final payment to the Customs Clearance Agent on Mon, so better to go to the warehouse to pick up our goods on Tue. Then you can help us to deliver to QTN the first thing on Wed.
Just a few things to clarify with you:
1). As mentioned before, our container is quite full, so please arrange your most suitable truck to collect the goods from warehouse;
2). Our agent told us that most of the goods in the container were packed in boxes. Boxes were put on the pallets but are not wrapped. There will be extra cost for wrapping the pallets. Could you please kindly advise if we should ask the warehouse to wrap all pallets before you go to there? Our concern is that if all the pallets are wrapped, then you possibly won’t be able to load all goods into truck because apparently we cannot put a pallet on the top of another pallet. This will waste the space in your truck;
3). Do we need to hire a pallet jack before you deliver the goods to our home in QTN?
4). Could you please advise how we pay you $3,500? Any deposit is required?

Great I will load Tuesday morning and come down to queenstown. If we can unload 9amish wed morning that will be perfect.
We may even be able to unload tuesday evening if suits?
I will be using my 35cubic m truck which should take a container. (This is a 20 foot/ 8m container I take it?)
No need to wrap
I will load the boxes into my truck separately, and unload to where you want them placed. So no need for a pallet jack.
I will invoice you after the job.
If you are happy with all this then just accept on wisemove and we'll be all go.

Yes, we ordered a 20ft container for the goods we bought from overseas. It’s totally fine if you want to unload the goods on Tue night. Just let me know in advance so we can well prepare for your delivery at home.
I’m going to accept the quote on Wisemove now.
