Took 12 hours to do a 6.5 hour route. Even with required stops (& and detour they told us they needed to take) something doesn’t compute.
Not the best care taken, boxes were upside down.
They were the cheapest though, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Hi, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the travel time and handling of some of the boxes.
We would just like to clarify the travel time from our side. The 6.5-hour estimate shown on Google Maps is based on travelling by car, not a fully loaded moving truck. Trucks have different speed restrictions and our drivers are also required to follow NZTA work-time and mandatory rest-break requirements. These are legal safety requirements that our drivers must follow and cannot simply skip in order to match a car’s estimated travel time.
In addition, there was a road closure around Turangi on the day of your move. Our driver had to take a significant detour of approximately 180 km, which added around 2 hours to the journey. This was completely outside our control.
We do take your comment about some boxes being upside down seriously. Our team is expected to handle customers’ belongings with appropriate care. If any of your belongings were actually damaged during the move, please contact us directly with details and photos so we can review the matter.
We appreciate you acknowledging that our communication was fast and polite. We simply ask that the travel time of a commercial moving truck, including NZTA requirements and an unexpected major road closure, is not compared directly with the normal Google Maps travel time for a car.
